Dr. Kelsey Alexander
Dr. Kelsey N. Alexander grew up and attended high school in Atlanta, Georgia. She received her undergraduate degree in 2006 from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Nutrition Science. From 2006 to 2010, she attended the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. She graduated magna cum laude in 2010 and received her M.D. From 2010 to 2013, Dr. Alexander completed her pediatric residency at University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis, Tennessee, working at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. She was awarded the Golden Apple Teaching Award in 2011 during residency.
Dr. Alexander spent the following year after residency as the Pediatric Chief Resident at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, where she was able to oversee and teach pediatric residents and medical students, attend to patients in the hospital and serve on several hospital committees. In 2014 and 2015, she worked as a pediatrician for The Children’s Clinic in Greenville, South Carolina. She is moving to Savannah with her husband, Thomas, who is an Orthopedic Surgeon joining Optim Orthopedics. Thomas and Kelsey have a one-year-old son named James and a black lab named Cash.
Dr. Alexander has a Georgia medical license, is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
